CENTRAL SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY, DELHI
His Holiness Sri Vishveshatirtha Swamiji of Pejavara Matha founded two large institutions in Bangalore; one to foster rigorous studies in Sanskrit and related classical subjects, and the other to serve as a nodal center for academic research in the fields of philosophy and religion.
The Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha Sanskrit Pathashala was established by Swamiji in 1956 with just 5 students. Now over 350 students study here for a 13-year course. The Poornaprajna Samshodhana Mandiram (PPSM), started in 1969, is a pioneering Sanskrit research institute dedicated to serious academic study and preserving Indian philosophy’s rich heritage.
